Okay, so even going with the full-tilt digital boogie, it still took a while to get all of this year's photos cleaned up and sorted out. I won't bore you with the tale of why this was such a long delay, but it involved cutting about a third of the photos for quality and redundancy, remapping links, and even changing web hosting. Anyway, here's the goods at last.
Fantasm is, frankly, one hell of a blast. The performances were cool (check out the Tranceform Venus and Ghoultown spreads), and the outfits were hot. The dealer's room was entertaining and educational in several ways, and even some of the "normal" programming was intriguing, even if not exactly what I expected. (For instance, I was expecting the Photo Shoot segment to be more of a workshop than a lecture, but it was still useful.) I certainly intend to be back next time, and now that I've got a better way to handle some of the photo organization, hopefully I can cut down on the turnaround time. Maybe the second SD card will keep me from having to scavenge for a way to dump to CD-RW this time, too!
Well, anyway, I want to thank the usual suspects for facilitating the photography - Handspring, makers of the Visor Deluxe handheld I used to keep up with who was in what shots, Hewlett-Packard, makers of the 3 megapixel digital camera, and DataViz, new owners of the ThinkDB program (now SmartList To Go) that used to I organize all that information. Anyway, on to the photos! Same setup as before....
