Since we are in an election year and getting close to the run-offs, let's look at politics. Now, my view of politics is very straight forward and probably offensive to most of you. You see, the American political system is a scam. A well thought out scam but a scam nonetheless. The scam lies in the fact that the common man has no real voice in who gets elected. You may go and vote, but unless you vote for the candidate the Electoral College votes for, your vote is wasted. You see, it's the Electoral College that decides who will be elected, and nobody bothers to check and see if they are truly tallying votes or letting their own personal politics guide their decisions.
Now that's just fine if you vote for the same guy they do or if you vote for the "popular guy." But, what if you're tired of the Republicrats' and Demoblicans' lies and deceits? If you vote for an Independent or third party candidate it's really not going to matter. Independents and third parties never get any publicity because the two current parties are too used to being in control. They get their way no matter what, which explains why they're so crooked. A two party system cannot work effectively because the spectre of corruption is easy to succumb to. Not to mention the fact that our two parties are nothing more than one giant corrupt party with multiple faces and thousands of lies.
Our government has just become so crooked and ungainly that no matter who is in office the song remains the same, lies and deceit. They do as they wish, and to hell with the common man. Politicians walk around in ivory towers acting like kings of all mankind. The appalling thing is that the American public lets them and then bow down and worship them in the process - thus proving that the politicians really are lords of society.
I think it was Thomas Jefferson that said "A country needs a revolution once a generation to keep the government true." Now, that's not an exact quote, but it's a close copy. We have not had a real revolution since the Civil War, we need some kind of revolt to put the people back in charge of this country. We have lived too long under the yoke of our despotic rulers. This is no longer a country of freedoms and tolerance. It is a seething mass of communist police states fueled by hatred of those that defy the norm.
It's time to take the reins of this country and place them firmly in the hands of the people. You know, as in We The People. Not We The Egotistical Nazi Politicians Who Want Only To Take All Of Your Freedoms Away. This country has not belonged to The People in far too long, and look what has happened to it. We are basically prisoners in our own homes, with no voice with which to speak out against this injustice.
Unfortunately, I doubt anyone will bother trying to change things. There are too many weak-assed, slack-jawed people in this country who just want to be controled and don't care what the lose for us all in the process. These people don't have the mental apptitude to run their own lives, so they want the politicians to take away their right to choose. That way their unused, wasted brains aren't forced to do anything more than make them top heavy.
If the masses of America would open their eyes maybe we could get something worthwhile accomplished. If we could stand together and demand control be returned to us we could possibly get it. Then again we could all get gunned down by the National Guard (who, by the way, still have weapons) in a Kent State reinactment. Because as we all know, speaking out against the Nazi regime...um, I mean the U.S. government will get you killed.
It's about time for me to run for the hills; I think I hear the choppers overhead. I have apparently offended BIG BROTHER, stay tuned for more acidic musings.
