OK, people.....Now I'm really pissed off! I just read a story on Reuters today (6/26/02) about the 9th District Court finding the pledge of allegiance unconstitutional. The issue was brought up by an atheist, whose daughter is in elementary school. The gentleman did not appreciate what amounted to him as the school preaching at his daughter based on christian myth.
The court found in favor of the beleaguered father. Now there are a flock of gawking idiotic politicians lining (or is that lemming?) up to peck at the decision. To quote the article from Reuters: "Senate Democratic Majority Leader Tom Daschle, who with Lott offered the pro-pledge resolution, urged Senate members to show up at the start of business on Thursday to recite the embattled oath. 'I think we need to send a clear message that the Congress disagrees,' Daschle said. 'The Congress is going to intervene, the Congress is going to do all that it can to live up to the expectations of the American people.'"
This says to me that the government cares not a bit about people's freedoms; they just care about having one more leash to choke us with. This also sounds to me that the government is unanimously voicing its establishment of christian myth and dogma as law in America. How much more obvious does it need to be?
Now, I'm not even going to start with the separation of church and state speech. Basically I think that this argument is foolish, the U.S. of A is a christian police state and has been since the beginning. Our whole country is based on a MYTH that has caused more death and suffering than any other idea in all of human existence. It is a myth that so many have been blindly suckered into that it is inconceivable that it would ever go away.
Secondly, attacks of this nature against the christian dogma are a bit blunt but very welcomed as a possible revolution against religious tyranny. The only way we can truly be free of stupidity of this type is to crush the christian leadership, so that those of us who have enough self-respect not to fall to their lies can live in peace and freedom. Without religious freedom what comes next? Book burnings, stonings of the nonbelievers, crucifixion of non-christian holy men? Where will it end, when will you people wake up and fight instead of lying about like invalid sheep?
I read stories like this, that BRAG about how the government misuses its power, and it enrages me! It fills me with such uncontrollable hatred and wrath that I must tilt my head back and roar with anger. How can you people let these insidious bastards do as they please? I feel as if I am the only person in the world that is angered and saddened by this. If people would just fight for their rights as laid down in the Constitution, no army on earth could oppose you.
In closing I would just like to BEG you to stand up and be counted. Fight for freedom and honor, fight for what you know to be right. DAMN IT, just fight to be HUMAN instead of the sheep that you're "supposed to be." If you don't fight for yourself nobody else will and you will deserve whatever damnable fate you are handed! Unfortunately, your children will suffer at your side....
